A dinner date with my lovely friends of the sea at @hookncook.ae. The chef really impressed us with having all the prawns, crabs and fish dressed to impress. It’s not just the presentations but also the ingredients and combinations that made each dish better than the other. So what was my fav?

The crusted grilled salmon over a bed of delicious pesto flavored risotto blends a plethora of flavors together into a sublime dish. I also enjoyed the whitefish tacos that came sandwiched with guacamole and fresh salsa. I can see why this is a fav and must have.

You can’t leave the restaurant without trying their prawn and shrimp delicacies. We tried the fried prawns and the motabak which were divine.

One of the best chilli crab versions I’ve had since a while. Cooked the Singaporean way, the meat blends in unison with the flavorful sweet, chilli hot tomato sauce. Now I miss Singaporean food.

The other outstanding creation was the salmon Wellington which is a twist from the classic. The salmon fillet comes wrapped in a pastry with spinach gives a nice buttery taste to the fish. Yummy combination and beautifully presented.
