Jodhpur Royal Dining – Finest indian cuisine

Located in the Murooj Rotana, Jodhpur is befitting of a king or queen. I am not just talking about its beautiful ornate interiors from regal lit chandeliers to rich hues of predominantly blue and green showcased in their upholstery. These divans are complimented with indian heritage cushions. Huge rounded pillars adorn the restaurant and a beautiful winding and definitely a perfect instagrammable winding staircase leads you to the main dining space. The vintage mirrors located around the restaurant also potray a beautiful semblance to those of majestic palaces located in Jodhpur.

Their exclusive chefs tasting menu for aed219 offers a 9 course culinary journey which would make for a memorable evening with your loved one.
It includes:

  • Chaat macaroons, an Indian take on these delicate French cookies – a taste that will dwell on your palate with a tinge of both sweetness and tanginess
  • potato “wool” Chaat , a creative touch to the main ingredient potato made in a wool form leaving a crispy crunch and spiced flavour in your mouth , sure to give your palate a spin
  • prawn kolivada (tasted heavenly) which in my verdict was the best from the lot, there is nothing I love more than complete fried goodness especially when it comes to sea food, suffice to say the prawns did take me by suprise with its flavour with its meld of spices along with its fragrance of curry leaves , let’s just say I really had no intent to share this dish with the hubby
  • chicken tikka quesadilla , a fusion of Indian flavours presented in a Mexican style , shredded chicken with indulgent spices are placed in the tortilla, which took me back to the street foods of Mumbai with its comforting taste
  • chicken 65 with lemon rice, combined with the goodness of rasam made for a soulful combination with the crispy goodness of the chicken along with the tanginess of lemon rice and a gravy version of rasam completing a full some meal for me
  • the keema pav though a little more on the spicier side for me, on the other hand my hubby had a ball of a time relishing it to its very last bite with its fragrant and spicy flavour to be enjoyed with miniature bread buns on a skewer.

Considering Indian food is fingerlicking good, the menu had a eclectic mix of everything from tangy, spicy and sweet hitting all the right tastebuds. My hubby loved the mini pavs that were offered with the keema and the miniature jalebis which hit the right amount of sweetness , crispy in nature, just how I like them to be #indianfood#jodhpurroyaldining
