Delight your palette and feast your eyes on remarkable Lebanese cuisine with a fusion twist at nurai cafe . Ideally located in the west wharf tower in Business Bay, take in the views of the iconic Burj Khalifa. The restaurant sports a separate area for shisha and an interior and exterior seating area so you can take your pick.
The chicken wings, one of my favorite starters as it was jam packed with flavors, thanks to the classic Arabian flavors of fragrant lemon, garlic and coriander. The skin on the wings is nice and crispy with a caramelized golden brown exterior.
The steak sandwich is the perfect pick-me-up, making it hearty in every way with simplistic ingredients including succulent pieces of beef laid on a bed of caramelized onions, grilled tomatoes, slathers of cheese and a dollop of steak sauce, sandwiched between two slices of a French baguette.
The “hamburgersa” had my interest piqued not just because of its name but also the vast variety of ingredients involved resulting in quite an unique taste. The burger was nice and juicy and it’s flavors were delightful, lent from Cajun spices and the creaminess of avocado, not forgetting the zest of fajita spices.
No middle eastern meal is complete without the goodness of shish tawook in most cases being chicken.2 skewers of chicken brochettes are served with a side of french fries, grilled vegetables, pita bread and hummus dip. The pieces of chicken are nice and moist, redolent of flavors of garlic and lemon. The exterior of the chicken is nice and crispy with a charcoal like taste , perfect to bite into with an accompaniment of hummus.
The grilled chicken breast, apart from being grilled to perfection , is moist with delight and accompanied with rice, steamed vegetables and a rich mushroom sauce. The chicken is juicy and tender with its flavors intact with a nice and crispy exterior.
Desserts were a simple affair and we settled for the profiterole, a tower of chocolate and profiterole goodness complete with ice cream. The taste of the profiteroles are nice and delicate, with a creamy interior and not to forget, a glorious drizzle of chocolate sauce- the perfect treat!
I always love a classic and the chocolate fondant is a definite must try with the chocolate cake exterior being soft and a melt in the centre exterior, this dessert is decadent in all forms. Though i prefer it without ice cream, it is nonetheless enjoyable either way.
