For starters, we had the babaganouch comprising of eggplant mixed with chick peas, parsley, tahina and a drizzle of lemon juice and olive oil , rich in flavor to act perfectly as a creamy dipping sauce with moroccan bread not the side.
Whoever thought of cauliflower salad is a true genius as florets of cauliflower are fried and accompanied with diced colorful capsicums and onions and great to whisk up in minutes to get your protein intake in seconds. The potato salad though a little dry is a treat for potato lovers as steamed cubes potatoes are tossed delicately with black olives and drizzled with olive oil making it a perfect and hearty salad to nibble on.
For the mains, we had the nile perch charmoulah which derives its name from the marinade and sauce which is utilized to flavor the Moroccan dishes. the oven baked fish is full of flavor, and aromatic enhancing the overall taste of the dish as the flavors of onion, cumin, tomato, coriander, harissa and lemon meld in unison in the conical cooking pot.
The beautifully presented lamb couscous is a versatile and delicious meal cooked in moroccan spices, over a nutritious bed of couscous. The lamb shank was ultimately moist in nature that literally melts in mouth giving this dish a homely touch.
The tiger prawns, plump and juicy, were stellar as they were cooked in rich tomato sauce paired beautifully with the prawns flavored with an amalgamation of perfect spices. One bite of the prawns and you will definitely be hooked- the hubby and i fought for the last piece in short.
To add a little sweetness to our meal, we opted for the rice pudding made moroccan style, super creamy as it is cooked with cream, rose water for that aromatic fragrance and the added flavor of apricots and raisins to give it a colorful touch.
